This week’s new Dustinland comic is about the QAnon conspiracy, which is essentially a massive troll effort meant to destabilize America. On one hand, this is obviously absolutely frightening and depressing, but on the other hand, I think it’s more important to examine the state of our country and discuss why so many people were in the kind of mental state that this sort of madness would appeal to them. Because this is the real problem — and it’s a big one without a simple answer.

Yup. Pretty much said it all here. I’m kind of excited but afraid about the whole thing, sort of like when you hear a big storm is coming your way but to a lesser degree. I like the sounds of the cicadas, and any kind of epic nature thing is always interesting, especially when no one gets hurt. But they are really big and nasty when they’re flying around all out of control and I really hope they don’t ruin my backyard experience this summer. There really are going to be a lot of them. I found all these larvae while gardening in my yard a few weeks back, and now there are all these tiny tunnels popping up, which means they’re getting ready to emerge.
Well, nothing I can do will stop it so, fun times!
