This blog serves as the news and internet services portal for dustinland.com and the awesome comics featured there: Dustinland and Birdy. It is a nice blog. It likes long walks on the beach, sushi, rainbows, MP3 aggregators and seeing Dustinland comics make it to the top 10 on Reddit, which hasn’t happened in quite some time because they hate me there now.

  1. Great site. I really enjoy dustinland. Your latest comic about music hit home. I feel the same way.

  2. A friend passed me the Dorm of the Deaf comic…

    You lived in Ellingson too?

x___x god that was 2 years of suck.

Personal fav. was some NID’s who kicked the fire alarm off the wall outside my room at 2 am. I was on the 11th floor.

    firedrills were FUN.

    • Wow, I had no idea people could leave comments on this page. Well, better late than never!
But yeah, I did not go to that college. That comic was written by another dude, a fan of mine who kept telling me funny stories via email. I asked him if he wanted to write a full comic about his experiences and there you have it. Glad you enjoyed it!

  3. I just stumbled onto your site and Dustinland…Awesome cool…Keep at it and I’ll see if I can “force” my friends to check ya out. 😉

    • Thanks Candy!

Btw I had no idea people could comment on my “about” page so sorry about the late response. And if you did force your friends to check out my site, I hope you did not injure them too severely.

  4. I’ve been a fan of your comic strip since attending Binghamton. One of my favorites was the one you created on Jacob – you know everyone knows Jacob. Anyway, I’d like to literally see Lois De Fleur kicked to the curb by the Bearcat and be jailed in the local zoo with the coach and rest of the basketball thugs. Best of luck. I’m sure you’ll make us alum proud.

    • Hey, just realized people could comment on this page. Oops!

But yeah, when I did that Jacob strip, people were coming up to me all day thanking me. People I had never met before. Funny thing is, Jacob begged me to put him in a comic for four years, and I warned him he would not fare well in the strip. He didn’t care. Hey, any attention is good attention, I guess.

  5. its so asome ha i love it okay mom by lol

  6. Hey, I randomly stumbled across your “Celebs as Voldemort” on another website, which led me back here. Also saw your Megamind images. Very cool. I was hoping you could give me some tips on how you did that. Im an artist myself, and Im working on a similar project, turning Oprah into various different people (just different men and women so she looks like a different crowd full of people). Im just doing the heads, so it looks like lots of different men and women in her image. However, most of them arent coming out just right or recognizable enough, just wierd. Any tips would be great.

    • Hey, just realized people could comment on this page. Well, I’d imagine/hope you aren’t still working on that Oprah project, although if you were, that would probably be the most epic Oprah project ever. I wish I could help with some tips, but basically, it’s all Photoshop stuff. Just messing with layers, using the eraser at a low opacity, matching hue/saturation… that sort of thing. Hope that helps, two years later.

  7. it is awesome site… I am really enjoying . I am from Croatia and I could say that everything you said is true. Croatia is very interesting country and you must visited her once in your life. 🙂

    • Hi! I did visit Croatia, in 2011. It was pretty awesome. I’d love to go back if I am ever allowed by my busy life which is now full of jobs and babies instead of beer and cappuccino.
