Sunny Days

This new Dustinland comic seems to pretty much speak for itself. And I’m sure it will irritate a lot of people who do enjoy unseasonably warm weather, but hey, I mean, if I can’t ruin a nice sunny day for people by reminding them it’s a symptom of a manmade global holocaust, what’s the point of drawing comics?

Meh

This week’s Dustinland comic is something something meh I dunno.

You know the thing is, I am most energized and inspired in the morning, yet that is when I am least available to be creative, between family life and work. I occasionally have time at night, after a full day of activity, and that’s when I am tired and uninspired and all I want to do is sit on the couch. Such is life I guess, or at least until my kiddo is a teenager who sleeps until 11:00 and never wants to hang out with me. Not that I’m looking forward to that but it will be good for the comic.

Manpower

I’m sure some people will get this week’s Dustinland comic wrong, even though I think it’s super obvious. So just in case, what I’m saying is that it’s silly for men to be against taking up traditionally female careers at a time when many traditionally male careers are drying up due to automation and technology and other issues. Of course I understand it, especially with older dudes, but still, come on. Jobs are nice because they pay money. That’s what it comes down to and that’s what it will always come down to in the end. Money.

High five.

Mr Sniffles

This week’s Dustinland comic — posted one day early btw — is about how I’m allergic to dogs and cats. It really sucks. I grew up with cats and I used to take allergy shots to deal with it, and it worked. BUT, I had asthma. No sneezies, but asthma. Then, I moved out. College. Bye bye asthma. So yeah, no more cats or dogs. Sucks big time. Especially for my kid. Man does he want a dog. Really badly. I definitely feel like an asshole depriving him of this key life experience. And he doesn’t even have a sibling. I suck. What can I say.

But hey, next time you stop by and see all his Legos, you’ll understand it a wee bit more.
