Happy Birdday

It’s Birdy’s birthday today. And maybe there’s a little more significance to the date than most people realize….

Anti Social Security Guards

Yup. Here’s the story about me and the security guards. Not much of a story I guess. Basically it goes like this: Some security guards at my old office were hassling me and my coworkers since one of us forgot our ID so I got mad and cursed them out. That’s it. But I mentioned it in a blog post a while ago and everyone wanted to hear all about it so here it is. Are you happy now?

Really though, why do they have to ask you for your ID once every four months when they see you every day? EVERY DAY.

Marvel Birdys

This week, Birdy has been posing as various Marvel comics characters. So far there’s been: The Sinister Six, X-Men, The Fantastic 4 and a nod to Marvel Knights.

Make sure to tune in tomorrow for the big finale.

Why Do We Cry?

Would it be ironic if this week’s Dustinland made someone cry?

How Work Works

This week’s oh so Dilberty Dustinland doesn’t reflect upon my current job. In fact, this phenomenon hasn’t really affected me much at all, aside from one time at a previous job when I busted out some extra skills and the “raise” I was given in return came in the form of a promised bottle of scotch that I never received. But it did give me this notion of the danger in offering up additional services, and since then, many people have told me stories about their jobs where they’re basically being punished for being good. And that’s really what this comic is about. Often times you get punished for being good at your job. Hell, there’s extra work to do — we can’t give it to that slow poke whiner down the hall. We have to give it to you! You’re so good, so fast, so hardworking. We know you’ll have to work a little bit late but you should feel good that we have such confidence in your abilities!

Man, I should have saved that for a whole other comic. Well, if I do use it, pretend you didn’t read it here first.

Repouble-ican Standard

Man, I just read some shit on a diehard conservative blog where they were defending the Koch brothers by attacking George Soros, and I wish I would have included that in this week’s Dustinland.
