Avatar Birdys

This week’s Birdys (1220, 1221, 1222) were inspired by the movie Avatar. Now I know what you’re thinking: Dustin, oh infinite hater of all things, did you dislike the movie? Actually, no, I quite enjoyed it. My quick review: I will forgive the poor dialgoue, silly plot holes, and occasional bad acting, for it is all balanced out by the film’s incredible visual beauty (see it in 3D to have your mind blown) and its ultra liberal message (might as well have been written by Noam Chomsky). Well, for once something has lived up to the hype.

  1. I thought it was an awesome movie too. Though, to tell you the truth I was reading just today that it seemed to follow almost the exact same plot as Pocahontas. But good for Cameron for finally getting out his movie he’s been working on for the better part of a decade.

  2. I personally think it was Dances With Wolves, just with a happier ending.

  3. Birdy is so cute I could just eat him up.

  4. Wow, color me surprised. I came here expecting you to bash the movie.

  5. Dustin, I am disappoint.

  6. Ok, so I must say that I completely agree, if we’re going to talk st0ry, this would not be the best movie, but in terms of picture, development, production, visual etertaintment, I must say it is impressive, beautiful and must be seen in 3D, preferably IMAX.
